Founded in 1972, IBEFA (formerly NAEFA) is a non-profit, international, scholarly organization dedicated to the study of banking, economic, and financial issues in countries and across the global economy and financial markets.

Annual Meeting
IBEFA, jointly with the Allied Social Science Associations (ASSA), holds a three-day meeting (usually in January) to present papers on economics and finance subjects. Call for papers for IBEFA sessions and the preliminary program will be available on-line. All Members are invited to attend the IBEFA Annual Membership Meeting, which takes place during this period. The next meeting is scheduled for January 3-5, 2009 in San Francisco, California.
All participants must register. Meeting/hotel registration information will be available online for ASSA in September 2008. The preliminary IBEFA program is available here in PDF format.
