Call for PapersIBEFA Summer MeetingSeattle, Washington, USA June 29–July 3, 2024 (held concurrently with the Western Economic Association International Conference ) Open Submission Deadline: January 15, 2024The International Banking, Economics, and Finance Association (IBEFA) will hold its next Summer Meeting in Seattle, Washington, in conjunction with the 99th Annual Western Economic Association International (WEAI) Conference, June 29-July 3, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Seattle. Members and non-members are equally encouraged to submit papers. The meeting will be held in person only. IBEFA seeks paper submissions that contribute to its goals of advancing the study of banking, economic, and financial issues in countries and across the global economy and financial markets. We encourage submission of high-quality papers using theoretical, empirical, and experimental methods. Besides contributions to the general fields of banking and finance, we especially welcome papers related to the development and implementation of macroprudential policies; the interaction of such policies with monetary, microprudential, and other macroeconomic policies; as well as methodological and applied ex-ante and ex-post policy evaluation studies. The suggestion of complete sessions on policy-relevant topics is also strongly encouraged. In that case, sessions should consist of 3-4 papers and include discussants. Session chairs send the session proposal by e-mail (chair, presenting authors, paper titles, and discussants; include full names, affiliations and e-mail addresses). Presenting authors submit their papers individually following the instructions below. PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURETo submit an individual paper or a paper that is part of a session, please begin by registering at the conference planning website (https://www.conftool.pro/ibefa-weai2024). If you experience any submission difficulty, and to submit complete sessions, please contact Luiz Moura (ibefa.conferences@gmail.com). We aim to inform authors of accepted papers in early March 2024. ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThere is a submission fee of US$50 per paper, except for papers solely authored by students which are charged a fee of US$25. Paper submission fees are paid at https://www.conftool.pro/ibefa-weai2024. Only submissions for which the submission fee has been paid will be considered for review. The presenting author of an accepted paper must also register for the WEAI Conference.
